The Place: Literary Pittsburgh. The Year: 2024.
New Events, Excerpts, Calls for Submission, Exhibitions, and more!
We had big plans back in December… and then Covid hit Littsburgh HQ, so we’ve been pretty quiet for the past few weeks.
But now we’re back, and better than ever!
We’ve been adding a ton of new events to Littsburgh’s literary calendar every single day, and we’re putting up new excerpts, interviews, calls for submission, and more as fast as we can.
If you’re new to Littsburgh — whether you heard about us from a friend or saw us on KDKA or just Googled “Pittsburgh Authors” and ended up on the site — welcome! For a little bit more about us, check out this very sweet spotlight in The Triskelion (from Carlow University’s MFA in Creative Writing Program).
TL;DR: We’ll be celebrating TEN WHOLE YEARS of “Celebrating Literary Pittsburgh” next year, and it’s been so very cool to watch this community grow :)
Here’s to another great year in the books!
The Littsburgh Crew
P.S. Thank you to everyone who’s pledged their support and donated to Littsburgh… and whether or not you’re able to donate, we always appreciate your support!

Start reading a short story from House Parties by Lynn Levin…
Named as one of the best books of Summer 2023 by Philadelphia Magazine
“House Parties may break your heart, but it’ll never do it the same way twice.”-Philadelphia Magazine
“House Parties offers the wisdom and humor of a keen eye and a kind heart. Lynn Levin writes beautiful prose so skilled that it seems unselfconscious while being replete with perfectly balanced sentences, brilliant metaphors, and similes. Levin’s spirited imagination is a delight. These stories are amusing, startling, poignant, heartwarming. House Parties is a book to read, savor and return to again.”

The theme for 2024 is A.I. Mythology!
